Taylor Swift has faced one road block after another on the path to true love, be it a break-up phone call or concern over a wandering eye.
In British Glamour's November issue, Swift claimed that she hasn't yet found her lobster.
"
I’ve seen my friends take someone back after they’ve cheated because they fit perfectly," she told the magazine. "But I don’t know, because I’ve never had a perfect fit with someone."
Not Eddie Redmayne? Not Jake Gyllenhaal? Not even John Mayer?
"Here’s what I’ve learned about deal-breakers," she said. "If you have enough natural chemistry with someone, you overlook every single thing that you said would break the deal.
What say you about that dance card full of fellas?
"You can’t say, 'I'm never gonna date a high-profile person in the arts!' But whoever I date, famous or not – whether I ever date again! – all chaos will break loose. With fabrication and frantic obsession and who likes who more and how it ended. But right now is easy because I’m single and happy, and it’s very relaxing."
And what about when people start judging you for - forgive me - swiftly going through gentleman after gentleman, even a baby dip like
Conor Kennedy?
"You can be obsessed with the bad things people say and the good things, either way you’re obsessed with yourself and I’m not – you can become unhinged so easily. Vanity can apply to both insecurity and egotism. So I distance myself, because I feel everything.
"The little I am exposed to hurts my feelings. The only things I can really control are my songs and my behaviour. The rest? If I focused on it, that would lead to insanity."
Right. With that said, why don't we build Tay Tay a man, taking the best parts (and avoiding the worst) of her ex-boyfriends. Fun, right?
